About the Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will join a talented engineering team working on one of the world’s largest digital platforms, serving billions of daily advertising impressions.

This is a senior-level **Individual Contributor (IC) role** focused on hands-on frontend engineering, technical ownership, and delivering complex, scalable solutions. The role does not involve direct people management responsibilities.

You will be responsible for building high-performance, responsive, and maintainable frontend applications using JavaScript, React, and modern frontend technologies. You will contribute to architectural decisions, tackle complex engineering challenges, and leverage AI-powered tools to enhance development efficiency and code quality.

We are looking for a highly experienced frontend engineer with strong technical expertise, an engineering mindset, and the ability to work autonomously in a complex, high-scale environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

— Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications using JavaScript, React, and modern frontend technologies.
— Build responsive, reliable, and maintainable user interfaces for high-traffic digital platforms.
— Work with modern frontend frameworks, libraries, tools, and development practices to deliver robust engineering solutions.
— Contribute to frontend architecture, technical design decisions, and the implementation of engineering best practices.
— Optimize application performance, scalability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
— Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product stakeholders, and other technical team members.
— Integrate frontend applications with APIs, microservices, and internal and third-party systems.
— Apply modern AI-powered development tools to improve coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and problem-solving workflows.
— Take ownership of frontend components, technical solutions, and their long-term maintainability.
— Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
— Support and mentor other developers through technical guidance and code reviews, while maintaining a hands-on engineering focus.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Must-Haves

— **7+ years of professional software development experience**, with strong engineering expertise and a proven track record of delivering complex solutions.
— **Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript**, including deep understanding of modern JavaScript features, asynchronous programming, and frontend application architecture.
— **Strong practical experience with React**, including component architecture, hooks, state management, performance optimization, and scalable application development.
— Solid knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, libraries, and development ecosystems, with the ability to evaluate and apply emerging technologies and industry trends.
— Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, software engineering principles, and best practices.
— Experience building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web applications.
— Good understanding of web performance optimization, browser behavior, accessibility, and responsive design.
— **Practical experience using modern AI tools** to enhance development workflows, increase productivity, improve code quality, and solve complex technical challenges.
— Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of technical decisions, and drive solutions from concept to implementation.
— **Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above)**, with the ability to communicate confidently in professional and technical environments.
— Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an engineering mindset.
— An engineering or technical degree is highly preferred.

Experience working with large-scale, high-traffic platforms.
Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend build tools.
Familiarity with Next.js or other modern React-based frameworks.
Experience with frontend testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern development infrastructure.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar solutions.
Experience optimizing frontend applications serving millions of users or handling high volumes of traffic.
