Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a Middle Full-Stack Software Engineer with 3–5 years of commercial experience to help maintain and modernize a large-scale software platform.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with React.js and/or Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Grails and/or MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience with software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, source control, and CI/CD workflows.
• Comfortable working across the full stack, handling both backend services and front-end/UI changes independently
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code or similar).
• Experience with dependency management and monitoring tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Availability for 1–2 hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time (9:00 AM — 5:00 PM CT)

Key Responsibilities

• Own routine platform maintenance, ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and up to date.
• Review, test, and implement dependency and library updates.
• Perform third-party service upgrades and validate integrations after releases.
• Investigate and resolve production issues identified through monitoring tools.
• Monitor releases to detect regressions and maintain platform stability.
• Contribute to long-term modernization initiatives, including framework migrations and technical debt reduction.
• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code across both backend and frontend.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve complex software issues.
• Collaborate with distributed team members across time zones and maintain clear technical documentation.
