Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer with strong backend expertise who is confident working with PHP/Laravel, databases, and Vue 3, and can independently take features from requirements through implementation to a QA-ready state.

The project is an actively evolving web platform with complex business logic, multiple integrations and APIs, and large volumes of data.

We are looking for an engineer who goes beyond simply writing working code and considers architecture, performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability when making technical decisions.

Backend — PHP / Laravel

Core stack:

• PHP / Laravel
• SQL / relational databases
• REST API
• JSON-RPC
• WebSocket

We expect:

• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
• Solid knowledge of modern PHP and Laravel, including recent language and framework features
• Good understanding of Laravel application architecture
• Strong experience with Eloquent and Query Builder
• Experience designing APIs and implementing complex business logic
• Understanding of queues, jobs, background processing, and caching
• Ability to identify and resolve backend performance bottlenecks
• Experience with error handling, logging, and diagnosing production issues

It is important that you understand not only how to implement something in Laravel, but also what happens at the application and database levels and how technical decisions affect performance and scalability.

Databases & Large Data

Working with databases is an important part of this role.

We expect strong SQL knowledge and practical experience working with large datasets.

You should be comfortable with:

• JOINs, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries, and aggregate functions
• Database transactions and locking
• Concurrent operations and race conditions
• Indexes and composite indexes
• Analyzing query execution plans with EXPLAIN
• Identifying and optimizing slow queries
• Preventing N+1 query problems
• Efficient filtering, sorting, and aggregation of large datasets
• Pagination and cursor-based processing
• Processing data in chunks and batches
• Bulk INSERT and UPDATE operations
• Processing large datasets without loading everything into application memory

You should be able to investigate why a query is slow, identify the actual bottleneck, and choose an appropriate optimization strategy.

We particularly value experience designing solutions that remain efficient as tables grow from thousands to millions of records.

A feature that produces correct results but generates hundreds of unnecessary database queries or significantly degrades as the amount of data grows is not considered a complete solution.

Frontend — Vue 3 / TypeScript

APIs: REST, JSON-RPC, WebSocket

Testing: Vitest, Playwright

We expect:

• Commercial experience with Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of Vue 3 and the Composition API
• Up-to-date knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue, and the surrounding ecosystem
• Ability to build reusable and maintainable components
• Good understanding of frontend performance and performance trade-offs
• Strong attention to design fidelity and functional details
• Ability to independently integrate frontend functionality with APIs
• Proper handling of loading, error, and empty states

Engineering Approach

How you approach engineering problems is just as important to us as your knowledge of the technology stack.

We expect you to:

• Clarify requirements and ambiguities before starting implementation
• Raise blockers and potential issues early
• Think about architecture and code reusability
• Consider performance and future data growth when designing solutions
• Investigate problems independently and identify their root cause
• Test your own work before handing it over to QA
• Deliver features to QA in a complete and testable state
• Pay close attention to both functional requirements and UI details

We are not looking for someone who simply implements exactly what is written in a ticket without considering the broader context.

If you identify an unclear requirement, technical risk, performance concern, or potentially problematic implementation approach, we expect you to raise it and discuss it with the team.

DevOps

Deep DevOps expertise is not required.

However, you should:

• Understand fundamental DevOps concepts and workflows
• Be able to set up and run the project independently on your local machine
• Understand development, staging, and production environments
• Have a basic understanding of deployment workflows
• Be comfortable working with application and system logs
• Be able to communicate effectively with a professional DevOps engineer and understand technical explanations related to infrastructure and deployment

AI-Assisted Development

We actively use Claude and other AI-assisted development tools.

Using AI to improve development speed and productivity is encouraged, but you are expected to understand, review, and validate the code generated by AI.

This is particularly important when it comes to:

• Architecture
• SQL queries
• Performance
• Database query efficiency
• Race conditions
• Edge cases
• Security

AI should be used as an engineering tool, not as a substitute for engineering judgment.

The developer remains responsible for the correctness, performance, security, and maintainability of the final implementation.

We are specifically looking for a Full-Stack Developer with strong backend expertise.

This is not a frontend position where you occasionally make backend changes, nor a backend position where you occasionally modify Vue components.

You should be confident working across PHP/Laravel, SQL, Vue, and TypeScript and be capable of independently implementing complete features — from data modeling, database queries, APIs, and business logic to the user interface.
