Full Stack Engineer

UPTARGET is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. This is a strategic opportunity to help shape a global e-commerce platform. You will modernize core commerce capabilities, build scalable solutions, and influence technical direction across Product, Architecture, and Engineering. The squad focuses on payments, refunds, agentic commerce, and platform APIs, with a strong backend focus and significant technical and business impact.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building server-side applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js frameworks such as NestJS or Express.
• Strong backend orientation-the role is approximately 60–70% backend-focused.
• 4+ years of experience building user-facing features with React, including component-driven development and frontend architecture.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and performance considerations.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, service boundaries, and integration patterns within a microservices environment.
• Proven feature ownership- independently driving projects from early design through implementation, delivery, rollout, and post-launch improvements.
• A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Experience with state-management solutions- preferably Zustand- and building maintainable, testable UI flows.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows effectively, with the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
• Fluency in English and proven experience working effectively in a remote environment.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as Kinesis, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, or Kafka- including reliability patterns such as retries, dead-letter queues, ordering, and idempotency- is a significant advantage.
