Full Stack Engineer
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on the project of our Client — a leading energy SaaS company. The Client delivers highly technical insights and predictive/prescriptive analytics that help customers make decisions that increase profit. Their technologies support production and investment strategies, energy & commodity trading, risk management, and cost reduction through automated processes across critical business functions. The company is a strategic partner to more than 6,000 customers in 50 countries.
You will join the team that builds the Client’s back-office automation software — a SaaS platform that streamlines and accelerates vendor collaboration and the payment process. The platform is a large, data-rich application backed by a set of microservices, with a strong focus on security, reliability, and performance under high-volume workloads.
The ideal candidate understands how to build scalable, secure, data-rich applications. Java and Kotlin are the core of the role. You will work across the stack, from back-end microservices to the web UI. You will also help in shaping technical decisions, review code and designs, and take part in planning projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a SaaS application built with Java, Kotlin, and Angular
- Design, create, and maintain microservices backed by relational and document-based databases
- Write, review, and revise code in your area of expertise
- Lead code reviews, API design reviews, and technical reviews of the products
- Take part in scoping, estimating, and planning projects
- Debug, investigate, and resolve bugs and Customer’s issues
- Maintain and strengthen the core platform, ensuring strong authentication, security, and reliability across a large application and its supporting microservices
- Tune SQL queries and database performance to keep high-volume workloads fast and reliable
- Help oversee project strategies and processes, and coordinate tasks among team members
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience in building SaaS applications
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Kotlin
- Experience on the front-end side with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue.js, or a similar one), and willingness to learn Angular
- Experience in building microservices and working with relational databases, plus familiarity with document-based databases
- Solid understanding of the design principles behind secure and scalable applications
- Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Proven experience in using AI tools to speed up software development, from design and coding through testing and documentation, while keeping code quality, security, and maintainability high
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment
- English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
Will be a plus:
- Hands-on experience with Angular
- Experience in applying Data Science methods to build scalable data solutions and deliver insights that drive business decisions
- Experience in tuning SQL queries and database performance for high-volume workloads
