Full Stack Engineer
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to work on the project of our Client — a leading energy SaaS company. The Client delivers highly technical insights and predictive/prescriptive analytics that help customers make decisions that increase profit. Their technologies support production and investment strategies, energy and commodity trading, risk management, and cost reduction through automated processes across critical business functions. The company is a strategic partner to more than 6,000 customers in 50 countries.
You will join the team that builds the Client’s back-office automation software, a SaaS platform that streamlines and accelerates vendor collaboration and the payment process. The platform is a large, data-rich application backed by a set of microservices, with a strong focus on security, reliability, and performance under high-volume workloads.
You will have to deliver features across the stack independently. Java and Kotlin are the core of the role. You will build back-end microservices and the web UI, take part in code reviews and planning, and grow your technical & design skills alongside experienced engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a SaaS application built with Java, Kotlin, and Angular
- Build and maintain microservices backed by relational and document-based databases
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code, and take ownership of features from design to delivery
- Take part in code reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to scoping, estimating, and planning tasks
- Debug, investigate, and resolve bugs and Customer’s issues
- Help keep the platform secure, reliable, and performant, including optimizing SQL queries
- Collaborate with teammates and share knowledge within the team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software development experience, ideally in building SaaS applications
- Commercial experience with Java and Kotlin
- Experience on the front-end side with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue.js, or a similar one), and willingness to learn Angular
- Experience in building microservices and working with relational databases
- Understanding of the design principles behind secure and scalable applications
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Practical experience in using AI tools to speed up development (coding, testing, documentation) while keeping code quality, security, and maintainability high
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment
- English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
Will be a plus:
- Familiarity with document-based databases
