Full Stack Engineer
We are looking for a Middle Strong/Senior Fullstack Developer to join a USA-based project developing an AI platform for architecture and engineering firms to manage and leverage complex project data more efficiently. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team to enhance internal tools, including admin panels, payment workflows, and database performance, contributing to a reliable and scalable product.
Requirements:
— 4+ years of commercial software development experience, with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript and a solid backend engineering background.
— Strong experience with React and Next.js, including developing and maintaining internal admin panels, revenue operations tools, and user-facing interfaces.
— Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, relational data modeling, SQL query optimization, indexing, transactions, and database performance in production environments.
— Understanding of cloud database performance, data integrity, and safe schema evolution in large, existing codebases.
— Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and maintainable software architecture.
— Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, authentication flows, and integrations with external services.
— Experience with transactional systems, billing workflows, subscription management, usage-based billing, or other business-critical data flows.
— Understanding of when to use PostgreSQL, Redis, and analytical databases such as ClickHouse, based on data access patterns, consistency requirements, and performance needs.
— Experience with background job processing, asynchronous workflows, and reliable data synchronization. Familiarity with BullMQ and Redis/Valkey is a plus.
— Proficiency with Git and experience working in a large codebase or monorepo environment.
— Ability to make sound technical decisions, take ownership of features end-to-end, and balance performance, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
— Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency, enabling effective communication within an international team.
Nice to have:
— Experience integrating third-party platforms across file storage, communication, and project management domains.
— Experience with AI/LLM APIs or building AI-powered products.
— Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and observability platforms.
— Experience with Next.js App Router, Server Components, and server-side data handling.
— Experience improving shared libraries, developer tooling, or reusable integration frameworks.
— Understanding of API security, credential management, and secure storage of access tokens.
Responsibilities:
— Design, develop, and maintain fullstack features across revenue operations tools, administrative interfaces, and business-critical platform workflows.
— Own the implementation of transactional features involving billing, payments, subscriptions, usage-based accounts, and revenue-related data.
— Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, data models, and queries while preserving data integrity, backward compatibility, and production stability.
— Analyze database performance and make informed decisions about data storage and access patterns, including when to use PostgreSQL, Redis, or ClickHouse.
— Build and maintain integrations with external platforms such as Stripe, HubSpot, and other business APIs.
— Develop administrative analytics and reporting capabilities that provide visibility into account activity, product usage, and revenue-related operations.
— Design reliable background processing and synchronization workflows with appropriate error handling, retry strategies, and observability.
— Contribute to architectural decisions and establish reusable patterns for transactional workflows, integrations, and admin functionality.
— Improve the maintainability and reliability of a large codebase through sound OOP principles, code reviews, testing, and refactoring.
— Collaborate with the team to evolve the platform’s data architecture and deliver scalable, reliable solutions as the product grows.
