Looking for a Senior who owns features end to end and picks up new things fast. Java is the main skill, React is the second.

What the work looks like:

Features end to end: DB migration, backend endpoint, and the frontend.
Lots of API integrations with external providers (payments, verification, KYC). Needs to be done reliably — retries, idempotency, webhooks.
Money logic and KYC.
Take part in architecture decisions, not just implement them.
Pick up new tech and problem domains fast — the stack and requirements will keep changing.

Stack:

Backend (main): Java 21, Spring Boot 4, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, Flyway, PostgreSQL.
Frontend (secondary): React 19, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Query, react-hook-form + zod, Tailwind. Turborepo monorepo.
Infra: AWS (ECS/S3/RDS), Docker, GitHub + GitHub Actions.

Requirements — Backend:

Strong Java/Spring: JPA/Hibernate, transactions, Spring Security.
Concurrency: threads, race conditions, synchronization, distributed locks, ShedLock.
Solid with the Java library ecosystem (Guava etc.) and knows when to use what.

Requirements — Frontend:

Solid TypeScript and modern React (19): hooks, component state, composition.
Data fetching with React Query (caching, invalidation, mutations).
Forms with react-hook-form + zod.
Client state (zustand), routing (react-router).
Comfortable with Tailwind and a component lib (shadcn/radix), building UI from designs.
Working in a Vite + Turborepo monorepo.

Requirements — Common:

Fintech experience (payments, accounts, money flows). This matters, not a nice-to-have.
Multiple API integrations with external services: auth, retries, idempotency, webhooks.
Real understanding of networking: TCP/UDP and how they actually work.
Data formats and protocols: JSON, Protobuf, HTTP, gRPC.
AWS and Git/GitHub.
