AI Product Engineer

The role includes both backend and frontend work, but the main focus is frontend.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain multi-tenant backend systems
• Design and enforce secure authorization and permission flows
• Develop typed API procedures and backend business logic
• Work with realtime data and event-driven flows
• Build automation, scheduling, and billing-adjacent systems
• Integrate third-party services and APIs
• Support dashboard and operational frontend features
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Help build out automated test coverage as the platform matures

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript experience
• Good understanding of Postgres and relational data design
• Experience building backend logic and APIs
• Understanding of authentication, permissions, and security
• Comfortable working across both frontend and backend
• Actively uses AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of daily workflow, and can work efficiently with AI-assisted development without sacrificing code quality

• Experience with tRPC or similar end-to-end typed API layers
• Realtime systems (SSE, WebSockets)
• AI integrations
• Experience working on early-stage products with fast iteration cycles
• Mobile experience
