Full Stack Engineer

About Project

A fashion e-commerce company with its own warehouse and logistics operations. The engineering team builds the platform end-to-end, including the customer storefront, warehouse management portal, and AI-powered automation. The main goal is to fully automate warehouse operations and minimize manual decision-making.

The role

You will work across three interconnected codebases at different maturity levels:

• a modern Nx monorepo — Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, tRPC (the main portal: 8 apps, 12 shared libraries, layered architecture)
• a consumer e-commerce storefront — Next.js 14 with Capacitor native apps
• a legacy PHP WMS portal (CodeIgniter 3, ~46K commits) being incrementally migrated into the modern stack

Must-have qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Comfortable in monorepo architecture (Nx or Turborepo)
• Solid SQL (MySQL preferred) — you can write and reason about multi-table joins and indexes without an ORM — plus working knowledge of Redis
• Hands-on AWS experience (at minimum S3, SQS, and ECS or Lambda)
• LLM/AI fundamentals — prompting, embeddings, RAG patterns — enough to build and debug AI features
• Daily, deliberate use of AI-assisted development tools, and the judgment to articulate when they help vs hinder
• Able to read and reason about legacy PHP to inform migration decisions
• Proven fast ramp-up in complex, under-documented codebases; autonomous ownership of tickets from diagnosis to deployment

Nice to Have

• E-commerce or warehouse/logistics domain knowledge

• AWS CDK or Terraform (IaC)
• Playwright or Cypress E2E testing

What you will do

• Ship features across the portal monorepo end-to-end: UI, tRPC API, SQL, tests, stage verification
• Maintain and extend the consumer storefront and its iOS/Android hybrid apps
• Migrate functionality out of the legacy PHP monolith: read the old code, understand the real behaviour and data, rebuild it properly in the modern stack
• Build and improve AI-powered workflows: invoice extraction, visual product search, LLM-driven automation, neural recommendations
• Diagnose production issues with logs and data before writing code, and back proposals with real numbers
