Full Stack Engineer
About the project:
We’re building a cloud-based healthcare management platform that streamlines clinical and administrative workflows for practices across the U.S., with a focus on orthotics, prosthetics (O&P), complex rehab tech (CRT), and DME. Our system includes AI-powered clinical documentation, an intuitive patient intake interface, and integrated billing and claims management.
You’ll join a product-focused team modernizing the existing monolithic system (built with Java 25 and AngularJS) and contributing to the next-gen version using Angular 21.
Tech Stack:
Java 25, Spring Boot, AngularJS (v1), Angular 21, MySQL (local 8.x, AWS RDS), REST APIs, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, Docker, AWS, Bitbucket Pipelines, Gulp (for AngularJS build)
Talent you’ll bring into our team:
- Strong experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot (Java 25)
- Solid frontend experience with AngularJS, and ideally exposure to modern Angular (v2+)
- Familiarity with REST APIs, MVC architecture, and monolithic systems
- Experience with MySQL and ORM tools (Spring Data JPA + Hibernate)
- Comfortable using Docker in local environments
- Good understanding of Git-based workflows and CI processes (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar)
- English: Upper-Intermediate or higher for daily team communication
- Proactive attitude toward legacy code, modernization, and clean coding practices
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain backend features using Java and Spring Boot
- Work with AngularJS to support and evolve the current frontend system
- Design and implement modern, scalable UI components using Angular 21
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for communication between frontend v1/v2 and backend
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and ensure stability of the monolithic system
- Collaborate with a small, focused engineering team to deliver functional, scalable solutions
