Full Stack Engineer

Company Background

Our client is building a next-generation healthcare platform with a modern, cloud-native solution supporting patient registration, scheduling, clinical documentation, credentialing, revenue cycle management, reporting, and AI-enabled workflows.

Project Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to work closely with our teams to design, build, and evolve custom healthcare applications that support the transition away from current project while maintaining business continuity.

This role requires an engineer who enjoys building scalable distributed systems, collaborating directly with product and architecture teams, and working across the full software stack in a modern AWS environment.

Technologies

• Backend: Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django, REST API development, Microservices architecture, Event-driven architecture, Message queues (SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
• Frontend: React, TypeScript / JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Modern component libraries (Material UI, Ant Design, etc.)
• Cloud: AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, IAM, CloudWatch, S3
• Databases: NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or equivalent), SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• DevOps: Git, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python and React.
• Build modern cloud-native applications supporting patient registration, scheduling, provider workflows, clinical operations, and healthcare administration.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices supporting healthcare business processes.
• Build user interfaces that enable efficient workflows for clinical and operational staff.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party healthcare platforms and enterprise systems, including Athenahealth, Salesforce, and other healthcare technologies.
• Participate in the migration of business capabilities from Athenahealth into custom applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, UX Designers, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop secure, HIPAA-compliant applications following modern healthcare security practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and sprint planning.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.
• Help identify opportunities for AI-assisted workflows and intelligent automation across the platform.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience developing cloud-native applications
• Experience building distributed, event-driven systems
• Strong understanding of scalable software architecture
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work directly with product and business stakeholders
• English B2

  AWS certifications
  Experience with Terraform
  Experience with Snowflake or modern data platforms
  Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)
  Experience building AI-enabled applications or workflow automation
  Familiarity with serverless application architecture
