Role Overview

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer (Java+React) with a strong backend focus to join a growing SaaS product that helps US organizations manage grants, budgets, and financial processes more efficiently.

You’ll work closely with the founder and other stakeholders, taking ownership of features from requirements through to production and helping evolve a product with real users.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend functionality using Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and PostgreSQL.
Build and maintain frontend features using React and TypeScript.
Work with complex business logic, calculations, and accounting-related data.
Develop features end-to-end and consider their impact across the entire data flow.
Investigate and fix production issues.
Work with CI/CD and deployment processes.
Communicate directly with the founder and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and discuss technical solutions.
Use AI coding assistants such as Claude in your development workflow.

Role Requirements

3+ years of commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with React and TypeScript.
Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, queries, and migrations.
Experience in payroll or accounting software is required.
Understanding of basic accounting concepts: debits/credits, journal entries, allocations, rounding.
Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset.
Experience with AI tools (Claude)
Strong communication skills: English B2+

Nice to have

Kotlin.
Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD.
Experience with grant, nonprofit, or fund accounting.
QuickBooks or other accounting-system integrations.
Message queues, caching, or Keycloak.

Daily schedule

Our company supports work-life balance and allows you to tailor your schedule, which consists of 8 working hours and time for lunch. Shared business hours for most of our teams are 12 pm — 7 pm Kyiv time.
