About the project: Healthcare
Key Responsibilities
● 4+ years of commercial experience in software engineering
● Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python, and own their architecture end to end
● Lead system architecture decisions, define service boundaries, and validate technical approaches across the team
● Build and maintain frontend interfaces in React/TypeScript alongside the backend
● Own the integration layer against practice management systems, insurance carrier portals, and third-party APIs
● Design and evolve relational schemas, migrations, and multi-tenant data models
● Drive deployment, containerization, and cloud infrastructure decisions on Azure and Docker
● Establish engineering standards around typing, linting, testing, structured logging, and observability
● Guide migration of existing services toward a consolidated, maintainable architecture without disrupting delivery
● Work within a rapidly evolving startup environment with shifting priorities
● Maintain high responsiveness and close collaboration with the internal team
● Help retain and build domain-specific business context over long-term engagement
● English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
Technical Requirements
● Strong backend engineering experience with Python, including async services and REST API design
● Solid production experience with React and TypeScript
● Experience working with PostgreSQL and SQL-based systems, including schema design and migrations
● Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure, including serverless functions, messaging, storage, and secret management
● Experience with Docker/containerized deployments
● Understanding of LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and AI workflow evaluation
● Experience with message queues and event-driven or asynchronous processing
● Experience integrating with legacy, poorly documented, or unreliable third-party systems
● Experience with web scraping tools such as Playwright is beneficial
● Exposure to voice agent technologies (e.g., Ultravox, Twilio, LiveKit, or similar) is a plus
● Familiarity with structured logging, tracing, and monitoring practices is a plus
● Strong architectural reasoning and ability to challenge/validate technical decisions constructively
Preferred Profile
● Pragmatic, adaptable engineer rather than a highly rigid “purist” mindset
● Comfortable balancing speed and quality in startup delivery environments
● Able to make and defend architectural decisions with incomplete information
● Strong communication and collaboration skills
● Experience in healthcare, dental, or insurance-related systems is beneficial but not mandatory
● Ability to work in long-term, context-heavy product environments where business logic evolves continuously
