Senior iOS Software Engineer (Swift / SwiftUI)

About the Opportunity

WORKSHORE is looking for an experienced Senior iOS Software Engineer to join an international development team.

We are seeking a skilled iOS developer with strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, a solid understanding of mobile application architecture, and a commitment to building reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a collaborative, English-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and testable application components.
• Implement new features and improve existing application functionality.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust mobile solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical issues.
• Follow iOS development best practices and contribute to continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience in native iOS development.
• Advanced proficiency in Swift.
• Hands-on experience developing applications with SwiftUI.
• Practical experience writing and maintaining Unit Tests.
• Solid understanding of iOS architecture patterns and software engineering principles.
• Experience working with REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher.
• Current location in Portugal, Spain, Latvia, or Lithuania.

Nice to Have

• Experience with UIKit and hybrid UIKit/SwiftUI applications.
• Knowledge of MVVM or other modern architectural patterns.
• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for iOS applications.
• Experience with UI testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of mobile application performance optimization.
