IT Support Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team and provide technical support for enterprise clients, primarily in the telecom, fintech, and retail industries.
In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving technical issues, monitoring application health, administering applications, and supporting deployments across test and production environments. You will work closely with enterprise clients and internal development teams to ensure timely and effective incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle support requests from enterprise clients, including triage, prioritization, investigation, and resolution within agreed response times.
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes using application logs, monitoring alerts, and database queries.
- Analyze technical issues and provide preliminary findings before escalating complex cases to the development team.
- Administer and maintain applications and related environments.
- Build new application versions and deploy patches, updates, and releases to test and production environments.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health and respond to alerts.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents outside regular business hours.
- Communicate effectively with B2B clients, keeping them informed about incident status, investigation progress, and resolution.
- Collaborate with development and other technical teams to improve system stability and support processes.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of experience in technical support, application support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Good hands-on experience with Linux OS.
- Experience working with MySQL databases, including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix and ELK.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as:
- GitLab
- Bitbucket
- Jenkins
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with load balancing and web/proxy technologies, particularly HAProxy and nginx.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with B2B/enterprise clients.
- English level: B1 or higher.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting Java-based applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise application environments and production support processes.
- Experience with incident management and root-cause analysis.
