Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer to join a product development team building a modern SaaS platform in the healthcare technology domain. The platform includes web applications, REST APIs, and integrations with third-party services, helping enterprise customers streamline complex business processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring product quality by defining testing strategies, executing comprehensive manual testing, mentoring other QA engineers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance for web applications.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience testing complex web applications, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Solid experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience creating and maintaining structured test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and regression suites.
• Experience using TestRail or similar test management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, sanity, validation, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST architecture, JSON, authentication methods, and client-server communication.
• Experience using bug tracking systems such as Jira.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and driving quality improvements.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities:

• Leads manual testing for front-end, back-end, and API-based applications using React, FastAPI, Flask, and other web technologies.
• Quickly learns complex products, adapts to changing priorities, and makes effective decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Defines test strategies, priorities, and coverage based on requirements, technical complexity, and business risk.
• Creates and maintains test cases, test suites, and test cycles in TestRail.
• Performs feature, smoke, regression, integration, validation, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Tests REST API endpoints in Postman, including payloads, status codes, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.
• Validates workflows across user interfaces, APIs, back-end services, databases, and third-party integrations.
• Uses AI tools to enhance test cases, identify edge cases, reduce repetitive work, and improve testing efficiency.
• Documents, prioritizes, and tracks defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Collaborates with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Leads defect triage, evaluates release readiness, and communicates risks and recommendations.
• Mentors QA team members and improves testing standards, processes, and documentation.

Will be a plus:

• Experience testing applications built with React, FastAPI, Flask, or similar modern web technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Experience testing cloud-based SaaS products.
• Basic understanding of automation testing principles and collaboration with QA Automation Engineers.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or fintech.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA productivity solutions.
