Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer at Associate (upper half) to Professional level who is ready to take full ownership of testing from Day 1. We are looking for someone who can work independently, proactively investigate issues, and actively contribute to an Agile team.
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer on real projects
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) — required
• Experience with the full testing lifecycle: test design, planning, execution, and reporting
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud: Jira, Confluence, and Xray Cloud
• Ability to review test results, analyze application behavior, investigate issues, and create clear, structured, and reproducible bug reports
• Ability to clarify and challenge requirements with Product Owners, Developers, and business stakeholders
• Experience working closely with Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)
• Ability to contribute to the team’s test strategy and plan testing activities
• Confident and critical use of AI tools in everyday QA work
• Strong exploratory testing mindset — proactive in testing new functionality and identifying potential issues without waiting for detailed instructions
• Ability to work independently from Day 1 with minimal onboarding
Nice to have
Test Automation
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest
• Node.js / TypeScript knowledge
API Testing
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Ability to build and execute requests
• Understanding of HTTP status codes and JSON payloads
• Understanding of authentication methods
Databases
• Basic SQL / PostgreSQL knowledge
• Ability to create and verify test data
• Ability to validate application results against database data
CI/CD
• Experience with Bitbucket CI/CD pipelines
Certifications
• Xray / Atlassian certification would be a plus
Responsibilities
• Design, plan, execute, and report on testing activities
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Analyze application behavior and investigate unexpected results
• Create and maintain test cases in Xray Cloud
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira
• Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders
• Participate in daily Agile team activities
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the team’s testing strategy
• Proactively identify quality risks and potential issues
• Use AI tools to improve testing efficiency and productivity
• Continuously improve QA processes and practices
