Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a very smart and ambitious Junior QA Engineer to collaborate on product development for our client based in the USA/Canada. The product domain is healthcare. Our client is a market-leading global SaaS company with the mission of facilitating the delivery of better hearing to the world. Small hearing care practices and some of the largest retailers utilize software in 13 countries worldwide.

Requirements:

• 1.5–2+ years of commercial QA experience, primarily in manual testing of web/SaaS products.
• Good understanding of QA fundamentals: test design, test cases, bug reporting, regression, smoke testing, and risk-based thinking.
• Comfortable testing UI, with a strong interest in growing toward backend/API testing.
• Basic to intermediate experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
• Some hands-on experience with API test automation or a strong motivation and willingness to develop automation skills.
• Familiarity with at least one test automation framework (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of SQL and ability to work with a database to validate data and investigate issues.
• Able to communicate QA findings clearly with developers and other team members, and speak up when noticing a risk or potential issue.
• Curious about test automation and AI, actively exploring how AI tools can improve testing, investigation, test creation, and day-to-day QA work.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned areas, and gradually grow toward a more automation-focused QA role.
• English — Upper-Intermediate or higher

Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through:

• Reviewing and clarifying product requirements.
• Creating and maintaining test cases and test scenarios.
• Performing Web, API, and DB testing.
• Tracking and verifying defects throughout the development cycle.
• Supporting features through testing until they are ready for release.
• Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify and communicate risks and issues.
• Exploring opportunities to improve QA processes through test automation and AI tools.
