Manual QA Engineer

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA
• Strong understanding of QA processes, software testing methodologies, and SDLC
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and cross-platform testing
• Experience analyzing requirements and identifying potential risks or gaps
• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation: test plans, checklists, and test cases
• Experience with bug tracking and defect lifecycle management
• Ability to estimate testing efforts and plan QA activities
• Good understanding of client-server architecture, APIs, logs, and databases
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Upper-Intermediate English
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible approach to product quality

As a plus

• Experience with test automation
• Experience with API testing tools
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Experience improving QA processes within a product team

Responsibilities

• Analyze product and technical requirements and identify potential gaps and risks
• Plan testing activities based on iteration, release, and product plans
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, checklists, test cases, and regression suites
• Define an appropriate testing strategy depending on the feature or release
• Estimate QA efforts for features, tasks, and releases
• Prepare and maintain the staging environment for testing
• Perform testing before and after production releases, including regression and post-release checks
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout their lifecycle
• Monitor bug dynamics and recurring issues and help identify their root causes
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to improve product quality
• Proactively suggest improvements to QA and development processes
• Maintain a deep understanding of the product, its business logic, integrations, and internal system behavior
• Take ownership of product quality throughout the development and release lifecycle
