QA Engineer

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in manual and automation testing for web, API, or integration-based projects using Java
• Automation Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation using Rest Assured, TestNG, Selenium, and Gradle
• API & Integration Testing: Strong experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs, complex third-party provider integrations, and distributed systems. Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, authentication flows, callbacks/webhooks, data validation, and error handling
• Framework Architecture: Experience in designing, maintaining, and scaling automation frameworks, reusable components, and testing utilities
• Mocking & Service Simulation: Strong hands-on experience with WireMock or similar tools for simulating external services and integration testing
• Performance Testing: Practical experience with Gatling or similar performance/load testing tools for API and integration-level testing
• Build & CI/CD Tools: Deep understanding of Gradle, TeamCity, GitLab CI/CD, and automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines
• Testing Frameworks & Libraries: Strong experience with TestNG, Allure Report, Lombok, Jackson/Gson, AssertJ/Hamcrest, SLF4J/Logback, and other Java testing libraries
• Testing Expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, test strategy, risk-based testing, regression testing, integration testing, exploratory testing, and non-functional testing
• Test Documentation: Ability to create and maintain test documentation, test scenarios, test plans, and technical documentation in English
• API Testing & SQL: Strong skills in API testing, SQL querying, and data analysis in databases
• Monitoring & Debugging: Experience with Grafana, Datadog, OpenSearch, Kibana, and other monitoring/logging tools for integration analysis and troubleshooting
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git, code review practices, and collaborative development workflows
• Architecture Understanding: Understanding of client-server architecture, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and integration patterns
• Agile Methodology: Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and participating in planning, estimation, and delivery processes
• Ownership & Leadership: Ability to take ownership of quality direction within the team, drive improvements, proactively identify risks, and propose solutions
• Mentorship: Experience mentoring middle/junior QA engineers and improving automation practices within the team
• English Level: Intermediate+ reading and writing level sufficient for working with technical documentation and communication in an international environment

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Quality: Take ownership of quality processes and automation direction within the Casino Integration team
• Integration Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated tests that simulate external provider behavior and validate integration flows
• API Automation: Develop and maintain scalable API automation solutions using Rest Assured, TestNG, and the Java ecosystem
• Automation Framework Development: Improve and scale the automation framework, reusable libraries, reporting, and testing infrastructure
• Provider Simulation: Configure and maintain mock services and integration environments for testing complex scenarios
• Test Strategy & Planning: Define test strategy, test coverage, risk areas, and quality gates for releases
• Technical Analysis: Analyze API documentation, integration contracts, logs, and distributed flows to identify potential issues
• CI/CD Integration: Optimize automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines and ensure automation suite stability
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Analyze logs, monitoring dashboards, and integration issues, actively participating in root cause analysis
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, analysts, and product teams to ensure stable and reliable integrations
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor QA engineers, perform code reviews, and share best practices within the QA team
• Process Improvement: Initiate and implement improvements in QA processes, automation practices, and testing approaches
• Release Support: Participate in release validation, regression activities, and production monitoring after releases

The Interview Process:

• 30 minute Recruiter call.
• 90 minute call with Head of QA and AQA.
