We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to work on a project of our Customer — a company that empowers organizations to conduct globally connected research and modernize research administration. Their industry-leading cloud-based research platform powers a suite of applications that maximizes researcher success, improves collaboration, and simplifies work across the entire research life cycle, including commercialization and tracking of research outcomes. Its global community includes academic institutions, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, hospitals and health systems, government agencies, independent research institutions, and non-profit organizations.
The project scope spans development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and design of comprehensive test plans in close collaboration with Software Engineers and Product teams to ensure software quality and performance. An effective candidate for this position combines deep technical knowledge with a strong understanding of testing principles to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable test systems. The candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive coverage including both automation and manual testing.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile, API, and back-end systems
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and QA Engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution
- Conduct code reviews for test code and contribute to best practices in test automation
- Develop tools and utilities to improve test automation and test coverage
- Analyze test results and provide insights into product quality and potential risks
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
Requirements:
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
