Our client is an eminent US-based legal case management software provider, offering judges and prosecutors an advanced tool for efficiently managing court cases. With a vast client base of almost 1000 organizations within the legal, alongside an impressive user count surpassing 25,000, they have established themselves as a leader in the industry. With 25+ years of experience, they have optimized the operations of numerous prosecutor and defender offices within the US judicial system. The customer approached us intending to modernize their legacy application, focusing on code migration and platform design enhancements.

The current project is designed to enhance user’s work and time management. At its core, it is a fully customizable tool that allows users to manage their workflow, set different types of reminders, and log their working time. It consists of various separate modules, each one being responsible for a particular aspect of the prosecutor’s or defense attorney’s work.

Job Purpose
As an Intermediate Strong QA Engineer at Leobit company, you must be capable of analyzing and validating requirements, able to communicate with customers, and translate business requirements to technical requirements. Perform both Black-box and Grey-box testing of Web applications with results validation on DB/API level (if necessary); troubleshoot and analyze found issues, helping the development team to find the root cause. Have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude. Demonstrate high result orientation and responsibility for own work.

Location: Lviv.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and validate requirements (specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.)
Supplement specifications/stories with missing/implicit requirements
Conduct requirements brainstorming sessions with the development team
Create Test Documentation (test design, test scenarios, test cases, UI checklists, etc.). Prepare Test Data
Perform Functional/non-functional testing of product increments
Perform Black-box and grey-box testing
Update baseline documentation following requirements changes
Create bug reports and document deviations from the expected results with screenshots and videos
Validate and triage Defects with project stakeholders
Provide regular Test Status updates to stakeholders. Cross-team and client communication
Work with Project and Test Management Tools

Requirements:

3+ years of working experience in testing web/mobile applications
Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum)
Understanding the purpose of Software Quality
Understanding the QA role in cross-functional Agile teams
Knowledge of Fundamental Test Process Phases
Knowledge of Testing Types and Techniques
Knowledge of Test Documentation types/purpose
Knowledge of Software Quality Characteristics
Technical skills in test scenarios preparation and test execution
Technical skills in documenting and troubleshooting defects
Practical experience in Functional/ UI/ API/ Accessibility testing
Familiarity with test case/ project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma)
Technical skills working with SQL Studio/other RDBMS systems
Practical skills in using AI tools for work optimization, including prompting, automation
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and active listening skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
Level of English: Upper-intermediate or higher
