WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:
- 3+ years of professional experiance in software development in test
- Product knowledge — ability to demonstrate complex product functionality to other teams and organizations
- Eagerness to adopt AI-assisted QA tools and workflows
- Experience in QA engineering with a track record of delivering quality product
- Strong manual testing skills on complex product functionality, including edge cases and
cross-functional areas - Experience with automated testing frameworks and the ability to write new automated
tests for complex functionality - Ability to write and maintain comprehensive test cases for both basic and complex
product functionality - Good communication skills — ability to bring value and insight to conversations and
communicate overarching project status effectively to technical and non-technical people - Results-oriented mindset — ensures on-time delivery and digs in to help unblock others
WOULD BE A PLUS:
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior QA team members
- Familiarity with Kanban-based development workflows and spec-driven development
practices
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Perform manual and automated testing on complex product functionality, including edge
cases and related functional areas - Write new automated tests for both simple and complex functionality
- Design and drive test suits, catching defects early and protecting customers through shift-left quality practices
- Partner with engineers to verify that deliverables meet functional and technical
specifications, contributing to code reviews and testability improvements along the way - Serve as a mentor to junior QA contractors — reviewing their work, providing guidance, and helping them grow
- Build and maintain test case libraries and test infrastructure—including frameworks, test
data strategies, CI/CD pipeline integrations, and test reporting dashboards—to support
reliable continuous delivery - Leverage AI tooling to assist with test case automation and to streamline the authorship
and management of test documentation - Understand and operate within LifeLoop’s software development lifecycle and squad-
based operating model
