QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a US-based technology company developing innovative workplace safety solutions. The product combines software and IoT technologies to help organizations respond quickly to emergency situations through real-time alerting and location-tracking systems. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of a mission-critical platform used across healthcare, hospitality, and other industries.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Review and analyze product requirements to ensure completeness, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
• Perform manual testing of web applications, integrations, and system functionality.
• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain detailed test scenarios and test documentation in TestRail.
• Validate UI behavior, workflows, and business logic across the platform.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in release validation and quality assurance process improvements.
• Support testing activities for IoT-related features and hardware-software interactions when required.
• Provide clear and timely communication regarding testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience in Manual QA testing.
• Proven experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing business and technical requirements.
• Strong experience with integration testing and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing web applications and complex business workflows.
• Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher, with the ability to communicate directly with international stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the quality assurance process.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing IoT products or connected devices.
• Experience with hardware-software integration testing.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Experience working in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools.
• Experience working with distributed international teams.
