Position & client
Our client is a US-based fintech startup that builds account-activation infrastructure for banks and business banking platforms. InstaSwitch moves income, payroll, spending, vendors, and clients to a newly opened business account so it becomes the primary relationship. This project is a TypeScript Chrome extension that automates third-party websites on behalf of the user. The Rails-based app provides a REST API that the extension uses to fetch switch-automation steps and report progress.

Responsibilities
We are looking for an engineer to write and maintain JSON-based automation scripts using a proprietary framework.
Requirements
- 1+ years of commercial experience in frontend, QA automation, or browser automation
- Practical knowledge of HTML/CSS/DOM: CSS selectors, XPath, visibility, etc.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Chrome DevTools, or equivalent)
- Experience writing structured, declarative artifacts (JSON, YAML, step scripts, etc.)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude), with the ability to validate and adapt AI-generated code
- English — pre-intermediate
