QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a product team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our product by testing new features throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver a stable, user-friendly, and high-quality product while contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes.

Responsibilities:

• Test new product features throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze requirements and participate in refinement and planning sessions.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Create, maintain, and update test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and appropriate prioritization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to ensure product quality.
• Participate in improving QA processes, testing approaches, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer.
• Experience working in a product-oriented environment.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Solid knowledge of:
  
  • Functional testing.
  • Regression testing.
  • Smoke and sanity testing.
  • Exploratory testing.
• Experience working with bug tracking systems.
• Ability to write clear, well-structured, and detailed bug reports.
• Understanding of client—server architecture.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman and/or Swagger.
• Knowledge of HTTP methods and status codes.
• Basic SQL skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with load and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Basic knowledge of security testing principles (e.g., XSS, SQL Injection).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Understanding of QA metrics and experience contributing to test process improvements.
