TODA Pay is an international fintech company operating in the digital payments and financial infrastructure space across multiple jurisdictions. We support high-growth payment operations with multi-currency transactions, crypto payments, and complex corporate structures.
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of testing quality for our payment platform and provider integrations. This is a hands-on, manual-first role with strong API testing, practical SQL skills, and the ability to develop and maintain automated tests for critical flows. You will independently assess requirements, design and execute risk-based testing, investigate defects across APIs and transaction data, maintain regression coverage, and provide clear release-readiness evidence. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Platform, and Support teams to make payment processing reliable and delivery risks visible.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze feature and integration requirements before testing; clarify gaps, ambiguities, edge cases, and testability risks with Product and Engineering.
• Actively contribute to shift-left testing practices by participating in requirements refinement and technical design discussions, identifying potential quality risks early, defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria before development begins, and collaborating with developers to prevent defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and maintain risk-based test scenarios and cases covering expected behavior, negative paths, boundaries, failure recovery, and integration dependencies.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, executed checks, test evidence, and defects; distinguish completed test execution from demonstrated coverage.
Payments, API & Database Testing
• Independently test payment-provider integrations and end-to-end pay-in/payout flows, including transaction lifecycle, status mapping, validation, callbacks/webhooks, retries, and successful and failed outcomes.
• Validate REST API requests and responses, HTTP status codes, JSON payloads, authentication and error handling; investigate asynchronous and cross-system behavior.
• Use SQL (including SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, and aggregation as needed) to verify transaction records, processing statuses, and data consistency against API results and expected business behavior.
• Investigate defects using reproducible scenarios, relevant logs, API evidence, and database records; report clear steps, actual versus expected outcomes, severity, and business impact.
Regression & Release Readiness
• Own and maintain a prioritized regression suite for existing payment flows and integrations; execute targeted and full regression based on change scope and risk.
• Provide transparent test results and release-readiness input: coverage, evidence, unresolved defects, blocked scenarios, residual risks, and recommended follow-up checks.
• Keep testing artifacts and defect statuses current in Jira and the team’s test-management tools.
Practical Test Automation & Collaboration
• Write, maintain, and run automated API and/or UI tests for high-value critical scenarios; contribute to stable regression coverage within the existing automation approach.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps on reliable test execution in CI/CD; investigate flaky tests and automation failures within your area of responsibility.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools critically when useful, reviewing generated scenarios and code rather than treating generated output as validated coverage.
• Proactively surface blockers and quality risks, coordinate test dependencies across teams, and improve test practices through concrete findings and feedback.
Nice to have
• Experience with payment gateways, PSP integrations, fintech products, transaction processing, or reconciliation.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or API-focused automation frameworks and test management tools such as Zephyr Scale.
• Experience testing microservices, message-driven or event-based systems, and distributed integrations.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud environments, CI/CD configuration, or performance testing.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate test design or automation with appropriate validation of outputs.
• Practical experience working with Test-Driven Development (TDD), or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as QA Engineer
- Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies
- Experience designing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Solid experience with: functional testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, API testing
- Experience working in Agile product teams
- Strong analytical and defect investigation skills
- Basic to intermediate experience in test automation
- Ability to write automated tests for UI or API
- Familiarity with at least one automation tool/framework such as:
- Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
- REST API testing frameworks
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Willingness to expand automation coverage over time
