QA Engineer — Manual & Automation
- Company: Lime Vizio
- Product: High-volume e-commerce, US market
- Format: Remote, full-time
Schedule: Los Angeles business hours (Pacific Time)
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on QA Engineer with strong manual testing skills, practical automation experience, and an ownership mindset.
You will ensure quality across our e-commerce platforms, CRM, and integrations, covering the complete customer journey from product browsing to payment and order fulfillment.
We expect you to understand business risks, take initiative, and follow issues through to resolution. Your contribution should go beyond reporting bugs: help prevent recurring problems and make release quality more predictable.
Responsibilities
- Own testing for assigned features and releases: clarify requirements, identify risks, plan coverage, execute checks, and verify fixes.
- Test complete customer and order flows: catalog → product → cart → checkout → payment → order creation → fulfillment and tracking.
- Validate business rules, including delivery ZIP codes, cut-off times, pricing, payment outcomes, and order statuses.
- Perform functional, exploratory, regression, cross-browser, and mobile responsiveness testing.
- Test APIs and vendor integrations, including failure scenarios and data consistency across connected systems.
- Build, maintain, and expand automated UI and API regression tests for critical business journeys.
- Work with developers to run automated checks in CI/CD, investigate failures, and resolve environment or test-data blockers.
- Validate email notifications, CRM workflows, and analytics events, including GA4, Google Ads conversions, and Meta pixels.
- Create and maintain practical test cases, checklists, and coverage documentation.
- Report and track defects in ClickUp with clear reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and business impact.
- Investigate production defects with the team and strengthen regression coverage to prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to load and stress testing ahead of peak periods, including Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
- Communicate release readiness, remaining risks, and blockers clearly and proactively.
Requirements
- Commercial experience in manual QA for web applications, with the ability to test features independently.
- Strong understanding of test design, SDLC, bug lifecycle, and risk-based testing.
- Ability to test business logic and complete user journeys, including negative scenarios and edge cases.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable framework.
- Working knowledge of a programming language used for test automation.
- Practical API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
- Confidence using browser DevTools and basic SQL to investigate issues and validate data.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- English: Intermediate+ with the ability to clarify requirements and communicate testing results independently.
- Availability to work Los Angeles business hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience with e-commerce, payment systems, CRM, or third-party integrations.
- Experience improving automation frameworks or integrating tests into CI/CD.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.
- Experience validating analytics events and conversion tracking.
- Experience with high-volume products and seasonal traffic peaks.
Ownership Mindset
- Take responsibility for outcomes: follow issues from discovery through resolution and verification.
- Think like a customer: prioritize problems affecting purchases, payments, delivery, and trust.
- Be proactive: identify missing requirements, coverage gaps, and risks before they become production issues.
- Move blockers forward: investigate, involve the right people, and escalate early with clear context and proposed next steps.
- Work with precision and integrity: provide evidence, communicate limitations, and make unresolved risks visible.
- Collaborate effectively: work with developers, product, and operations to improve quality and prevent repeat failures.
What Success Looks Like
- Critical customer journeys and business rules have clear, maintained test coverage.
- Automated regression coverage grows and runs reliably.
- Significant issues are identified before release, and escaped defects lead to stronger checks.
- Testing keeps pace with delivery priorities without hiding unresolved risks.
- The team receives clear, evidence-based release recommendations.
What We Offer
- Direct work on a live e-commerce product serving the US market.
- Ownership of meaningful quality improvements across customer-facing and internal systems.
- Opportunities to deepen automation, API, integration, and performance testing skills.
- Remote work in a fast-paced, collaborative product team.
