Bookmap is a high-performance market data visualization and trading platform used to trade futures, stocks, and cryptocurrencies across CME, Eurex, Nasdaq, and many other major exchanges.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing, fully remote team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of testing our cross-platform desktop application (Windows, macOS, Linux) and occasionally support QA efforts across our web-based products. If you love breaking things to make them better and want your work to directly impact traders worldwide, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Design and execute manual test cases, test plans, and test coverage
- Report and track bugs, collaborating with development and integration teams through to resolution
- Run and diagnose regular regression tests
- Analyze requirements and estimate testing effort
- Provide clear, accurate reporting on testing progress and results
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer
- Hands-on experience testing desktop applications
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and the full bug life cycle
- Solid understanding of software development processes and testing documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate English
Nice to have: experience with trading platforms for futures, stocks, or crypto exchanges.
What we offer
- 100% remote work — work from anywhere
- Paid annual and sick leave
- Compensation for new equipment and software (options based on equipment type)
- Sponsored professional training and English lessons
- A friendly, international team and a supportive environment
The test task
We include a short practical task so you can show us how you work — and get rewarded for it. Document at least 3 bugs and earn a $50 reward. This version contains more than three, so find as many as you can!
- Download and install Bookmap using this link
- Activate it with the provided license key: RFM4-A9BK-1XYX-80VW-HW4V-X0AU-QFVU
- Launch Bookmap in Replay mode and open the feed file feed_Rithmic_20160923_133501_092
- Test the application and document the bugs you find
- Send your bug report, your CV (both in English), and your expected salary to hr@bookmap.com
The task typically takes about 90 minutes. We’ll let you know whether your submission passed or didn’t — though we may not be able to provide detailed feedback if it doesn’t. If you pass, we’ll move forward with the next steps.
