Job Description

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Middle+ QA Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of commercial experience in software testing, primarily with web applications.

The role requires a strong understanding of software development and testing processes, the ability to work independently, take ownership of testing activities, and proactively identify potential quality risks.

Basic practical experience with API testing using tools such as Postman is required, along with basic SQL knowledge and experience using browser developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, cross-browser, and cross-platform testing of web applications.
• Perform basic API testing, including validating requests, responses, status codes, headers, and payloads using tools such as Postman.
• Analyse requirements, identify potential risks, and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Create, maintain, and improve test documentation, including test cases and checklists.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects throughout their lifecycle.
• Estimate testing effort and contribute to sprint and release planning.
• Take ownership of assigned testing activities and communicate progress, risks, and blockers.
• Proactively suggest improvements to QA processes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in software testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
• Solid experience in requirement analysis and test documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing processes.
• Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing, including test design techniques and change impact analysis.
• Basic practical experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience using browser developer tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Intermediate written English and basic spoken English.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Will Be a Plus

• Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Python.
• Experience with UI or API test automation using tools such as Playwright or pytest.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to create scripts, documentation, or testing utilities.
