We are building an AI-driven VR platform for 
surgical planning that turns patient CT/MR 
scans into interactive, life-size 3-D anatomical 
models. We are looking for a Middle+ QA 
Engineer to own the quality of the product our 
clinicians actually run — on their own PCs, with 
their own GPUs, headsets and drivers.
Read this before you apply
This is not game QA. The product is built in 
Unity, but it is an application, not a game: no 
gameplay, no level design, no game mechanics. 
Unity experience matters because it lets you 
read the 3-D scene and the logs — but the 
hardest bugs in this product live outside the 
scene:
OS versions and builds, user permissions, 
admin vs. standard accounts
GPU vendors, models and driver versions — a
driver update can change what the surgeon 
sees
Headset runtimes and device detection
Installation, update, repair, uninstall — and 
what is left behind afterwards
Where files are written, what the app logs, 
what it does when the machine is not ideal
If you enjoy hunting down "it only happens on 
that laptop" problems and proving whether it is 
our bug or the machine's, you will do well here.
Because the software supports real clinical 
decisions, precision is not optional. Careful, 
methodical testing directly affects patient 
safety.
What We're Looking For
Desktop application testing (the core of this 
role)
3+ years of hands-on QA / software testing 
experience.
Solid experience testing desktop 
applications that users install on their own 
machines: installation, unattended install, 
update, repair and uninstall; clean-machine 
vs. upgrade scenarios; the app's footprint on 
the system (binaries, configs, user data, 
system settings, services); leftovers after 
uninstall; permissions and privilege levels.
Comfort with hardware and environment 
variability: different GPUs (integrated vs. 
discrete), driver versions, multi-monitor and 
DPI scaling, CPU/RAM limits. You can isolate 
an environment-specific issue, describe the 
environment precisely, and tell "our defect" 
from "this machine's configuration".
Ability to work with application logs, crash 
dumps and OS-level system logs to turn "it 
crashed" into a reproducible ticket.
Unity and 3-D
Hands-on experience testing Unity-based 3-
D applications (non-game applications are 
perfectly fine — arguably better).
Basic 3-D math and the ability to reason with
it: local vs. world coordinates, transforms 
(position / rotation / scale), units and scale, 
vectors, camera and projection, clipping 
planes, visibility. Enough to explain why an 
object is offset, mirrored, at the wrong scale, 
or not rendering — not just that it looks 
wrong.
Understanding of rendering and performance
basics: frame rate, smoothness, stability, and 
what degrades them.
Medical knowledge — the entry bar is low
To start, it is enough that you can look at a 3-
D reconstruction and tell an artery from the 
aorta. You are not expected to arrive as a 
radiologist.
What we do expect: real willingness to learn 
anatomy and imaging basics. You will be 
supported by developers and medical 
advisors, and you will grow into validating 
patient-specific models properly.
General QA
Experience testing web applications.
Strong QA fundamentals: test design, 
documentation, bug life cycle, types of 
testing.
Experience with bug-tracking and test-
management tools (Jira, TestRail or similar).
Basic API testing skills.
Good written and spoken English.
Exceptional attention to detail — small visual 
or data discrepancies can have real clinical 
consequences.
Fast, self-driven learner. VR, 3-D imaging and
medical concepts may all be new territory.
What You'll Do
Test the full desktop lifecycle: installer, 
updater, repair, uninstall — across OS 
versions and machine configurations, on 
clean systems and on upgrades; verify file 
locations, permissions and what remains 
after removal.
Test the Unity application across PC 
configurations and VR headsets: startup, 
device and driver detection, GPU/driver-
specific behaviour, performance, stability, 
and crash triage using logs and dumps.
Verify 3-D behaviour and spatial accuracy: 
transforms, scale, measurements at 
millimetre precision, clipping, layer visibility, 
annotations, camera behaviour and object 
interaction.
Validate patient-specific 3-D 
reconstructions against the source CT/MR 
studies: expected structures present, 
segmentation quality, spatial relationships, 
obvious reconstruction or visualization 
artifacts.
Test the web application(s): functional, 
regression, cross-browser, UI/UX.
Design and maintain test cases, checklists 
and test documentation.
Reproduce, document and verify defects — 
with exact environment details attached.
Nice to Have
Experience with VR headsets and their 
runtimes (SteamVR / OpenXR / Quest Link) 
and troubleshooting headset and tracking 
issues.
Graphics/driver-level debugging, GPU 
profiling, frame-timing analysis.
OS-level troubleshooting tooling: system and 
event logs, process/file monitors, dump 
analysis.
Experience testing non-game Unity software: 
CAD, simulation, scientific or medical 
visualization.
Background in medicine, anatomy, 
biomedical engineering, radiology or 
healthcare.
Familiarity with medical imaging concepts 
and formats (DICOM, PACS, CT/MR).
Experience validating segmentation results, 
3-D reconstruction quality or measurement 
accuracy.
Test automation or performance testing 
experience.
