Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own the quality of the data and the web application behind our intelligence platform.
Our platform fuses 10+ data types from social media, messaging apps, websites, underground communities, and emerging platforms, analysing around a billion data points every month and enriching them with AI. Most of your work will focus on data and sources quality, alongside testing the web application and, from time to time, our AI-powered features. This is a hands-on, senior role where we value strong testing fundamentals, a product mindset, and the use of AI tools in testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Sources Quality
- Validate data coming from our sources: check that it arrives, stays fresh, is complete, and matches expectations.
- Investigate missing, duplicated, or delayed data and vendor data gaps, working with databases and product data.
- Run source-specific checks for TikTok, Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and other priority sources.
- Set testing priorities from a business perspective: find out which data matters most to our clients and focus testing there.
Application Quality
- Take part in app releases: smoke and regression checks, feature validation, and bug-fix verification.
- Write and maintain test cases, and run manual and exploratory testing.
- Clarify requirements and client expectations with the team when they are unclear.
AI Features & Infrastructure
- Test our AI-powered features when needed.
- Support performance and infrastructure checks.
Across All Areas
- Use AI tools in your daily testing work.
- Implement basic automated tests in our existing framework (we’ll help you learn if this is new to you).
- Switch between data, app, and AI testing as priorities change.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience as a manual or general QA engineer, testing cloud-based web products.
- Strong testing fundamentals: test types and levels, the fundamental test process, test design, and clear bug reporting.
- Ability to structure testing and turn unclear or informal requirements into a clear test approach.
- Solid understanding of web and client-server architecture, HTTP, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience testing data: validating that the right data arrives and that outputs match expectations.
- Good SQL skills and experience working with databases.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in testing over the last few years, and familiarity with AI-assisted testing approaches.
- Basic scripting or automation skills in any language.
- A product mindset: you understand what matters to the client and prioritize testing accordingly.
- Flexibility to switch between data, app, and AI work as priorities change.
- Spoken English level
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud services, ideally AWS.
- Experience with Playwright or other test automation frameworks.
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience testing enriched data, graphs, or data enrichment.
- Experience testing AI agents or AI-powered features.
- Background in social media data, OSINT, threat intelligence, or defence.
