QA Engineer
We’re looking for a QA Senior / Team Lead to own quality strategy end-to-end — defining test approach, leading a QA team, and communicating directly with the US-based client. You’ll work in a structured Agile team building an AI-powered platform for functional medicine — covering the full patient journey from lab ordering (500+ biomarkers) and AI-driven analysis to personalized treatment protocols. The platform is live in production and actively evolving.
Work mode: full-time employee. Opportunities to work remotely or in the Lviv office.
Must have:
▪English B2-C1 (Upper-Intermediate to Advanced), confident written and spoken — will interface directly with clients
▪4+ years hands-on manual QA experience, including 1+ years leading, mentoring, or managing testers
▪Proven track record defining QA strategy and test plans for a project (not just executing one)
▪Strong SDLC/STLC and Agile/Scrum experience
▪Experience preparing test documentation (test plans, test cases, bug reports, checklists) and reviewing others’ documentation
▪API testing experience (Postman/Swagger)
▪SQL skills to write queries for data verification
▪Experience with task/test management tools (Jira, Testomat or similar)
▪Working knowledge of automation approaches (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) — able to decide when/what to automate even if not writing scripts daily
▪Track record of communicating test progress, quality metrics, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders/clients
▪Experience in assigning tasks, reviewing team output, and giving constructive feedback
Nice to have:
▪HTML basics
▪Git/GitLab
▪Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD
▪Performance/load testing exposure (JMeter or similar)
▪Experience with AI-assisted code review tools (CodeRabbit or similar)
▪Familiarity with LLMs/prompt engineering as applied to QA
▪STEM background
Key responsibilities:
▪Own QA quality on the account: define test strategy, ensure coverage, choose manual vs. automated approach by risk
▪Lead and mentor the QA team; assign work, review output, run performance/feedback conversations
▪Be the primary QA voice to the client — proactively surface risks, defect trends, and remediation plans rather than waiting to be asked
▪Drive process improvement and defect-prevention culture; push automation where it reduces risk
▪Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning
