QA Engineer

We’re looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join our team and help build a modern workforce management platform used by medium and large enterprises to manage time tracking, workforce planning, access control, and employee activities. As part of the team, you’ll help ensure the quality of a business-critical product that organizations rely on every day to manage their workforce efficiently.

We’re looking for someone who can own quality end-to-end through hands-on testing of new features as they’re built, while also maintaining the automated test coverage that keeps our regression suite fast, reliable, and trustworthy as the product grows.

This is a hybrid role. You won’t be “the manual tester” or “the automation person”: you’ll do both. Our automation framework is already in place, and you’ll extend it, help improve how it’s used across the team, and perform the hands-on manual testing that every new feature requires.

Requirements:

• Based in our Chernivtsi or Ivano-Frankivsk office, or working remotely with the possibility of regular travel to our Chernivtsi office.
• 3+ years of QA experience, with hands-on exposure to both manual and automated testing: a balanced mix of both is more important than years of experience in either one alone.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright and C#/.NET; comfortable reading, writing, and modifying test code, not just using record-and-playback tools.
• Solid understanding of different testing types, including functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and performance testing.
• Experience with API testing using tools such as Apidog, Swagger, or Postman, along with solid SQL (SQL Server) skills for data verification and test data management.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, bug tracking in Jira, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with TestRail or a similar test management tool.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in early requirements analysis to identify potential issues before they become defects.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing of new and existing features.
• Perform cross-platform mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices, as well as emulators and simulators (Android Studio Emulator and Xcode), for both phones and tablets.
• Investigate bugs and determine their root causes, not just reproduce surface-level issues.
• Maintain clear, useful test documentation (test cases, test data, and reports) in TestRail that the rest of the team actively uses.
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, and work directly with developers to resolve them.
• Extend and maintain our Playwright/C#/.NET automated test suite together with the rest of the QA team, adding coverage for new features and ensuring it remains reliable as the product grows.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline so that failures are detected early.
• Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage, choosing the right balance between manual and automated testing for each feature.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and test plan reviews.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and other QA engineers to make quality a shared responsibility rather than a final gate.
• Help shape and improve our testing processes and quality standards as the team grows.
