We’re looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join a Web3 project.
Responsibilities
— Own end-to-end manual testing for new features and improvements (web/mobile/backend), including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
— Analyze requirements, identify risks/gaps, and proactively clarify ambiguities with PM/BA/Dev before implementation
— Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans), ensuring traceability and coverage
— Execute test cycles, validate fixes, and ensure reliable sign-off for releases
— Log, triage, and track defects; provide clear reproduction steps, evidence, and impact analysis
— Collaborate closely with developers on root-cause analysis and quality improvements (shift-left mindset)
— Support release activities: smoke testing, sanity checks, post-deploy verification, monitoring of known issues
— Improve QA processes and standards: templates, workflows, best practices, and quality gates
— Provide regular QA status, risk reporting, and quality metrics to stakeholders
— Define and enforce lightweight QA processes per project (DoR/DoD for testing, quality gates, release criteria)
Position goals
— Ensure stable releases with predictable quality and clear go/no-go decisions
— Increase test coverage and reduce missed edge cases via structured exploratory testing
— Prevent release surprises by early risk detection and continuous communication
— Reduce escaped defects by improving requirement review, test design, and regression strategy
— Improve transparency: clear QA reporting, risk visibility, and actionable recommendations
— Optimize testing efficiency without sacrificing quality (smarter scope, better prioritization)
