The Role
We are seeking a mid-level QA Engineer based in Ukraine to own end-to-end quality across our fintech platform.
This is a role for an engineer who thrives on understanding complex domain logic, dissecting financial workflows, and ensuring rock-solid software reliability. While we leverage modern AI tools to streamline documentation and routine workflows, we rely on your human engineering intuition, core QA fundamentals, and critical thinking to catch what automated tools miss.
What You’ll Do
- Requirements & Test Design: Partner closely with product experts and developers to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios and test cases.
- Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected/actual results, logs, and evidence.
- Reporting & Innovation: Track QA KPIs to provide regular product health updates while proactively integrating AI tooling to improve workflow efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical and business functions, mastering complex fintech business domains to ensure every deployment delivers flawless real-world value for our clients.
What We’re Looking For
- Location & Language
- Based in Ukraine
- Professional fluency in English (our daily working language across all global teams).
- Technical Competencies
- Working knowledge of NoSQL (eg Mongo DB) for data verification.
- Experience with API testing including the validation of RESTful services.
- Hands-on knowledge of non-functional testing, specifically performance and load testing.
- Proficient in browser debugging (Console/Network) and log analysis (via GCP).
- Solid command of GitLab, including branching strategies and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with E2E test automation frameworks (eg Playwright, TypeScript)
- Comfortable using AI tools to assist in test design, script generation, and troubleshooting.
- Previous Experience & Mindset
- Proven track record in hands-on manual, feature, regression, smoke, and migration testing.
- Experience maintaining organized test case databases and sharing domain knowledge across teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving: When you spot a risk, edge case, or process bottleneck, you take ownership of raising it, proposing a path forward, and seeing the resolution through.
- A naturally curious mind that wants to understand why complex financial systems work the way they do.
- A high standard for detail, recognizing that behind every software feature is a client relying on accurate financial operations.
- Comfortable admitting what you don’t know, actively seeking feedback, and treating production misses as opportunities to improve systems.
- An effective communicator who can translate between technical and business contexts.
