Software Architect

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Architect to lead our engineering organization through a period of rapid growth and platform modernization. You’ll define the technical vision, guide architecture decisions, and build a high-performing engineering team while remaining actively involved in software design, code reviews, and technical delivery.

Key priorities include evolving our platform into a secure multi-tenant architecture, strengthening our AI infrastructure, implementing modern CI/CD practices, improving platform reliability, and scaling the engineering organization to support multiple products and government clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and technical execution across multiple SaaS products.
• Design and oversee secure, scalable multi-tenant platform architecture.
• Drive modernization of AI and document processing pipelines.
• Build and mature CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and reliability practices on AWS.
• Ensure compliance with CJIS, SOC 2, and other security frameworks through secure engineering practices.
• Recruit, mentor, and scale a distributed engineering team while establishing engineering standards, processes, and documentation.
• Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations and delivering enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong expertise with modern backend technologies (.NET/C#, Java, Go, or Rust), relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD, and containerized deployments.
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS architectures and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices and regulated environments such as CJIS, SOC 2, HIPAA, or FedRAMP.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET 8, React/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• AI/ML platform experience, including LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.
• Government, justice, or public safety technology experience.
• Familiarity with Justice XML/NIEM standards, FedRAMP, and enterprise CRM integrations.
