Requirements:
Core:
— Senior developer-advocacy experience, or senior technical partner-facing engineering — in crypto, fintech, or a B2B API product.
— Deep, hands-on command of REST and WebSocket APIs — reads the spec and confirms behaviour with a live call.
— Able to make hands-on code changes to quickstarts and SDKs, not only review them.
— Proven at authoring change requests / API-improvement proposals from partner and internal-developer feedback — structured and evidence-backed.
— Credible in direct technical partner conversations; can act as senior escalation for a first line.
— Verifies against official documentation and live behaviour before approving any published API claim; distinguishes fact from assumption.
— Structured, concise technical writing for partner-facing and internal product audiences.
— Able to mentor and enable junior team members.
Nice to have:
— Crypto-exchange / exchange-integration experience (market making, custody, payments, on/off-ramp).
— Experience owning an SDK or AI/agent surface (safety review, packaging, registries).
Responsibilities:
(a) Change requests and API advocacy
— Own the CR flow: author CRs that alter API behaviour or contract, and remain named approver on any such CR. The Junior DevRels do intake, reproduction, and evidence; this seat authors and approves.
— Propose API improvements from partner and internal-developer feedback, carried into Product as structured requests.
— Provide API and infrastructure advocacy for partners and the developer audience.
(b) Published correctness (the safety bar)
— Named approver on any published API claim; owns correctness of every guide/quickstart whose accuracy needs a spec read or a live call. Juniors draft and maintain; this seat approves.
— Where an AI/agent or hosted surface is in scope, own its safety bar (what it must not expose).
© Quickstarts, SDKs, and enablement
— Keep the quickstarts correct; make hands-on fixes while the first line ramps.
— Teach and enable the Junior DevRels to update and maintain quickstarts and, progressively, the SDKs.
(d) Partner depth and escalation
— Hold partner-call depth and technical feedback.
— Act as the senior technical escalation for the Junior/operations first line on subject-matter and blocked issues.
