Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain features for a Digital Twin application based on Unreal Engine 5, primarily targeting the Windows platform;
  • Design and implement interactive real-time 3D functionality for visualization and manipulation of digital representations of physical objects and environments;
  • Implement UI components including dashboards, control panels, interactive maps, data overlays, object properties, status indicators, and visualization tools;
  • Implement algorithms for processing, transforming, and visualizing spatial and real-time data;
  • Work with computational geometry, including triangulation, meshes, coordinates, transformations, intersections, and spatial calculations;
  • Implement and optimize functionality related to RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) and real-time data/media transmission;
  • Integrate Unreal Engine with external APIs, services, data sources, devices, and communication protocols;
  • Write clean, modular, maintainable, and performance-oriented C++ code;
  • Analyze and optimize CPU/GPU performance, memory usage, rendering, and multithreaded operations;
  • Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, 3D artists, technical specialists, and product stakeholders to estimate, plan, and implement project features.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional development experience with Unreal Engine;
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming;
  • Experience implementing complex and interactive interfaces with Unreal Engine;
  • Good understanding of vectors, matrices, coordinate systems, transformations, projections, and 3D spatial calculations;
  • Understanding of RTP and real-time data transmission principles;
  • Good knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous operations, and performance optimization;
  • Experience profiling and debugging Unreal Engine applications;
  • Experience with standard development tools such as Visual Studio, Git/VCS, and bug-tracking systems;
  • Ability to investigate unfamiliar technical areas, prototype solutions, and independently solve complex engineering problems;
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pluses:

  • Previous experience working on Digital Twin, simulation, industrial visualization, GIS, CAD, engineering, or real-time monitoring applications;
  • Experience developing Unreal Engine applications outside of the traditional gaming domain;
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics and algorithms, particularly those applicable to 3D environments;
  • Advanced experience with Slate/UMG and development of data-intensive desktop interfaces;
  • Experience with real-time audio/video streams and media processing;
  • Experience with DirectX, shaders, rendering pipelines, or GPU optimization;
  • Understanding of networking and distributed real-time systems;
