Being an independent game developer and publisher, Airlab is a sister company to Ubisoft, Guillemot Corporation, and Longtail Studios. We are currently looking for an exceptional and talented Unreal Engine Games Developer to join our outstanding team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain features for a Digital Twin application based on Unreal Engine 5, primarily targeting the Windows platform;
- Design and implement interactive real-time 3D functionality for visualization and manipulation of digital representations of physical objects and environments;
- Implement UI components including dashboards, control panels, interactive maps, data overlays, object properties, status indicators, and visualization tools;
- Implement algorithms for processing, transforming, and visualizing spatial and real-time data;
- Work with computational geometry, including triangulation, meshes, coordinates, transformations, intersections, and spatial calculations;
- Implement and optimize functionality related to RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) and real-time data/media transmission;
- Integrate Unreal Engine with external APIs, services, data sources, devices, and communication protocols;
- Write clean, modular, maintainable, and performance-oriented C++ code;
- Analyze and optimize CPU/GPU performance, memory usage, rendering, and multithreaded operations;
- Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, 3D artists, technical specialists, and product stakeholders to estimate, plan, and implement project features.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional development experience with Unreal Engine;
- Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming;
- Experience implementing complex and interactive interfaces with Unreal Engine;
- Good understanding of vectors, matrices, coordinate systems, transformations, projections, and 3D spatial calculations;
- Understanding of RTP and real-time data transmission principles;
- Good knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous operations, and performance optimization;
- Experience profiling and debugging Unreal Engine applications;
- Experience with standard development tools such as Visual Studio, Git/VCS, and bug-tracking systems;
- Ability to investigate unfamiliar technical areas, prototype solutions, and independently solve complex engineering problems;
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pluses:
- Previous experience working on Digital Twin, simulation, industrial visualization, GIS, CAD, engineering, or real-time monitoring applications;
- Experience developing Unreal Engine applications outside of the traditional gaming domain;
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and algorithms, particularly those applicable to 3D environments;
- Advanced experience with Slate/UMG and development of data-intensive desktop interfaces;
- Experience with real-time audio/video streams and media processing;
- Experience with DirectX, shaders, rendering pipelines, or GPU optimization;
- Understanding of networking and distributed real-time systems;
