Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to join a short, high-impact technical discovery engagement, working alongside our solution architecture and presales team to audit and document an existing production platform ahead of a broader AI-driven modernization initiative.

Project: The engagement is a technical audit of an existing backend platform for a US-based client in the agricultural technology space — mapping the API surface, data model, and functional behavior of a live system to lay the technical groundwork for a follow-on build involving AI/LLM-powered workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Map the API surface of the client’s existing platform directly from the running application — endpoints, data flows, and module boundaries
• Document the data model and functional behavior of existing modules
• Review the authentication and authorization model in depth, including JWT claims and AI tool permission configuration
• Produce structured audit deliverables: a functional specification, an API contract document, and a findings report
• Provide the technical basis for the client’s cost and timeline estimate
• Collaborate closely with the presales and solution architecture team throughout the engagement

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core / .NET backend development
• Proven experience auditing and documenting existing systems — API surface mapping and functional analysis of a running application
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities — MCP or comparable tool-calling frameworks
• Solid familiarity with Azure App Service and the broader Azure platform
• Strong REST API design skills, with experience producing usable API contract documentation
• Experience reviewing JWT-based authentication and authorization models
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with client stakeholders in a discovery/audit context

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with React + Vite (the frontend surface will be mapped alongside the API)
• Exposure to n8n or other workflow-automation tools
• Prior presales or discovery engagement experience
