Senior Python Engineer

About the Product:
Adaptiq is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join the core platform team for our client, CYE — an AI-native cybersecurity analytics platform (Cyber Exposure Management). You will design and build scalable backend services, high-throughput APIs, and production AI/LLM-powered capabilities.
We are looking for an engineer who actively uses AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, AI agents) in their daily workflow and is open to touching adjacent frontend or infrastructure tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Python microservices (FastAPI) and public/internal APIs.
- Optimize distributed data flows, service-to-service communication, and messaging systems.
- Integrate production AI features (LLMs, prompt-based workflows, AI agents).
- Drive system reliability, performance, observability, and automated testing.
- Participate in architectural discussions, code/design reviews, and cross-service delivery.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python.
- Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (managed services) and Docker.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka) and caching systems.
- Daily, intensive use of AI development tools/agents as an integral part of your workflow.
- Strong ownership mindset, ability to work independently, and Upper-Intermediate+ English.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with LLM integrations (Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in Cybersecurity, Big Data, or graph-based modeling.
- Secondary experience with Frontend (especially Angular).
