About the Role

This is a technical role, but not a standard developer position: strong .NET skills are the entry ticket, not the end goal. You’ll use them to understand and speak credibly about the product — the real focus is client-facing work, so it takes a different mix of skills than most engineering roles.

Responsibilities

First 1–3 Months — Research & Onboarding

  • Go deep into the product’s functionality — every feature, workflow, and edge case
  • Read and understand the underlying C#/.NET code well enough to answer “why” a feature works the way it does, not just “what” it does
  • Document what you learn and raise questions with the team as you go
  • Expect this phase to be research-heavy rather than output-heavy — that’s by design

Ongoing — Blended Development & Support

  • Take on some hands-on development work on the product
  • Run client demos and handle support requests directly, with this share growing over time
  • Act as a second — and eventually primary — point of contact for anything demo- or support-related, so the business isn’t dependent on a single person
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing as client volume grows

Requirements

  • Confident C#/.NET skills — 4+ years of hands-on experience — strong enough to explore, understand, and speak credibly about the product through the actual code, not just documentation or secondhand explanations
  • Comfortable, confident English — this is the team’s working language
  • A natural extrovert who genuinely enjoys talking to people — not someone who’d rather work heads-down in isolation
  • Strong people skills and a genuinely positive attitude
  • Confidence running client conversations, calls, and product demos
  • Motivation to grow beyond pure development into product support, demos, and sales-adjacent work
  • Patience for an extended learning period before producing “visible” output — the first months are about depth, not speed

Nice to Have

  • German, French, or Spanish — a strong advantage; our product serves clients worldwide and is localized into these languages plus Japanese

Working Relationships & Growth

  • You’ll work closely with the company’s leadership and our Marketing Director; there’s no dedicated project manager on this role — expect weekly syncs and an autonomous, low-micromanagement way of working
  • Long-term, this role is designed to grow into a Product Manager position — not stay a side function
