We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Java Developer who wants to grow professionally while working in a team of senior engineers. The team is focused on system integrations, API management, and infrastructure development for a large technology platform in the retail industry.

Responsibilities

Participate in agile team ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of internal tools and processes
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, solution owners, project managers, IT operations, and external vendors
Maintain and further develop technical standards and best practices
Analyze and clarify complex business and integration requirements
Design and implement scalable and maintainable integration solutions
Develop and support integrations in a service-oriented architecture
Help monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing integration services

Required qualifications

1+ year of experience in Java backend development
Good knowledge of Java core fundamentals
Experience with Spring framework and Spring Boot
Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs
Basic understanding of SOAP services
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems basics
Experience using Git in a team environment
Ability to work effectively in a distributed team using MS Teams as communication platform
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Good spoken and written English
