About the project:
Mainsail is Tideworks Technology’s flagship Terminal Operating System (TOS) — a comprehensive platform powering container and Ro-Ro terminal operations worldwide. It covers end-to-end workflows including import/export/transship processing, gate transactions, EDI, billing & invoicing, and the customer-facing Forecast® web portal. Mainsail integrates with automated gate systems, OCR, RFID, financial/ERP platforms, and data analytics tools — making quality and reliability across a broad integration surface absolutely critical.
Akvelon is looking for a Senior Engineer to join an existing enterprise client project. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer who can take ownership of the backend and integration layer, while also contributing to high-load systems and performance-critical tasks.
Requirements:
- Java 11/17 + Spring / Spring Boot: strong hands-on expertise, including memory management and performance tuning.
- React: confident enough to contribute to the UI layer when required.
- Oracle: solid practical experience.
- Unit testing: strong hands-on experience and a quality-focused engineering mindset.
- English: good spoken English and strong communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a complex enterprise environment.
- Experience working with high-load and performance-sensitive applications is highly desirable.
- Curiosity and a willingness to dive deep into the project: someone who is genuinely interested in understanding the system, business context and technical challenges rather than focusing only on assigned tasks.
- Result-oriented mindset: a strong focus on delivering tangible outcomes, taking ownership and driving tasks through to completion.
