Software Engineer

About the project:

A HealthTech platform focused on improving access to Cannabis-Based Products for Medical use in the UK. The product provides an end-to-end digital experience that supports healthcare and e-commerce workflows while ensuring secure and compliant handling of sensitive data.

The team is currently working on a new project phase aimed at improving the platform’s mobile experience and expanding its e-commerce capabilities.

Tech Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Astro.js, Node.js, GraphQL, MySQL, Drizzle ORM

Talent you’ll bring into our team:

• 2+ years of commercial experience in full-stack development.
• Solid hands-on expertise with TypeScript across both frontend and backend development.
• Practical experience building modern interfaces with React.
• Practical experience developing backend functionality and APIs with Node.js.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with SSR frameworks such as Next.js, Astro.js, or similar.
• Understanding of REST or GraphQL APIs and client-server communication.
• Knowledge of responsive development and reusable component architecture.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and contribute to technical discussions.
• English: Upper-Intermediate for daily communication with the international team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve frontend functionality using TypeScript and React.
• Build and extend backend functionality and API integrations using Node.js.
• Work with SQL databases and contribute to data-related functionality.
• Support the development and optimization of responsive, mobile-first interfaces.
• Contribute to the implementation of new features across the full stack.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance.
• Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews, and established development practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to the delivery of features from development through release.
