We are looking for an experienced Application Solution Architect with strong Azure, Java, and .NET expertise to lead the architectural design and development of enterprise software applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and customer goals.
Project: You will be working with one of Europe’s largest independent IT groups, operating across 65+ locations in the UK, France, Romania, Spain, and Vietnam. The project involves application architecture design and delivery on Azure, using Java and .NET, in support of large-scale digital solutions for global businesses and public sector organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of software applications built on Java and .NET, deployed on Azure
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Oversee the development of application solutions and provide technical direction to development teams
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices across Java/.NET codebases
- Mentor and guide team members on architectural and Azure design decisions
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation
- Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and governance standards
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies across the Azure ecosystem
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application architecture or a similar senior technical role
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (architecture, services, deployment)
- Proficiency in Java and .NET, with demonstrable experience architecting solutions in both
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience mentoring technical teams
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to obtain UK Government and/or Police security clearance where required by client contracts
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher
