Senior IT Infrastructure & Cloud Administrator

Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, Security & Automation

 Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure & Cloud Administrator to take ownership of the company's internal IT infrastructure, cloud environments, systems administration, security, and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on senior-level role that combines infrastructure administration, cloud operations, IT security, compliance, and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company's IT ecosystem, ensuring system reliability, optimizing cloud costs, strengthening security, and automating routine IT processes using modern tools, including LLM-based solutions.

This is not a traditional ticket-execution role. We expect someone who can independently assess the infrastructure, identify potential issues and improvement opportunities, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives from identification to completion with minimal supervision.

The position involves direct visibility and collaboration with the CTO, CEO, and CSO. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical judgment, ownership, reliability, and the ability to manage systems that involve production access, financial information, and compliance requirements.

 Key Responsibilities

- Manage the company's internal IT infrastructure and systems across multiple organizational environments.

- Manage GitHub and other SaaS platforms, including permissions, access controls, and subscription lifecycle.

- Manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, ownership verification, expiration monitoring, and renewals.

- Administer VPN and network access solutions, including Headscale, Tailscale, or similar tools.

- Maintain system configurations, perform regular maintenance, and monitor infrastructure health.

- Support the L1 team and handle L2 escalations within EU business hours.

2. Cloud Infrastructure Management

- Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure, including project structures, configurations, access permissions, and resource organization.

- Monitor cloud environments and ensure infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

- Manage and monitor cloud billing across GCP and AWS.

- Analyze cloud resource utilization and proactively identify opportunities for cost optimization.

- Implement infrastructure improvements and support cloud-related operational requirements.

- Collaborate with the security team on infrastructure changes, access management, and security-related requests.

3. Cloud Security & Access Management

- Maintain and improve infrastructure security practices across cloud environments and internal systems.

- Manage user permissions, access policies, VPN configurations, and ACL-based access controls.

- Identify infrastructure vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential security risks.

- Support security-related initiatives and implement requested changes in coordination with the security team.

- Ensure appropriate access controls for production systems and sensitive company information.

 4. LLM & IT Process Automation

- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT operations and administrative workflows.

- Implement automation using LLM-based tools and AI solutions.

- Improve IT workflows through scripting, integrations, and process automation.

- Reduce manual work in system administration, monitoring, reporting, and access management.

- Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies that can improve IT operational efficiency.

5. System Maintenance & Monitoring

- Establish and maintain regular infrastructure maintenance and monitoring practices.

- Monitor system availability, performance, resource utilization, and potential operational issues.

- Troubleshoot infrastructure and system-level incidents.

- Proactively identify technical risks and implement preventive measures.

- Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and operational procedures.

6. Financial Reporting & Cost Optimization

- Prepare monthly billing and subscription reports across company tools and platforms.

- Monitor and retrieve cloud invoices.

- Maintain accurate records of subscriptions, licenses, and user access.

- Track cloud spending across internal projects and identify unnecessary expenses.

- Recommend and implement cost-optimization measures.

 7. Compliance & SOC 2

- Perform recurring SOC 2 activities related to infrastructure, systems, and internal IT tools.

- Collect and maintain compliance evidence in accordance with internal policies.

- Work closely with the compliance and security teams on remediation activities and reporting.

- Maintain proper access records, system documentation, and security-related evidence.

- Support internal and external audit requirements.

8. Team & Project Support

- Provide ongoing IT support for designated company projects.

- Support the L1 team with technical guidance and escalated issues.

- Coordinate infrastructure-related activities with internal stakeholders.

- Manage priorities independently and communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively.

Technical Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, or IT Operations at a senior level.

- Solid administration experience with both Linux and Windows environments.

- Practical experience managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including project management, access controls, resource monitoring, and billing.

- Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and billing management.

- Strong experience administering Google Workspace across an organization.

- Experience managing GitHub, SaaS platforms, user permissions, and access policies.

- Good understanding of networking, DNS, SSL certificates, VPNs, and access management.

- Experience with Headscale, Tailscale, or similar VPN/network access solutions is a plus.

- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and performance optimization.

- Practical experience with scripting, automation, and integrating tools to improve IT operations.

- Experience using LLM-based tools and AI solutions for IT process automation.

- Understanding of cloud security principles and infrastructure best practices.

- Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks, including evidence collection and audit support.

- Experience with cloud cost monitoring, billing analysis, and infrastructure cost optimization.

What We Value

We are looking for someone who does more than maintain existing systems. We value an engineer who can take ownership of the IT environment, make sound technical decisions, improve infrastructure reliability and security, optimize costs, and introduce automation that makes the organization more efficient.

The ideal candidate combines strong Systems Administration fundamentals, practical Cloud Infrastructure experience, security awareness, and an automation-first mindset.
