We are looking for a CNC Engineer Lead to drive the development, implementation, and optimization of machining processes for CNC production. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, stable, and high-quality manufacturing, while leading process improvement initiatives and coordinating the work of the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize technological processes for manufacturing parts on CNC equipment.
- Analyze engineering drawings, technical requirements, tolerances, and fits to prepare production processes.
- Create and update technological documentation, including process sheets, work instructions, regulations, and supporting production documents.
- Develop machining processes for parts and raw materials.
- Work with CAD/CAM software to prepare part and blank models for production.
- Create CNC programs for part manufacturing.
- Select equipment, cutting tools, fixtures, and other production resources required for process launch and support.
- Perform trial machine setup, production launch, and implementation of machining processes.
- Monitor part dimensions, product quality, and compliance with technical requirements and quality standards.
- Participate in setup, technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of CNC equipment.
- Introduce new technological solutions, process automation, and production efficiency improvements.
- Analyze production needs and identify opportunities to increase productivity, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
- Organize team activities, coordinate tasks, plan production-related activities, and monitor execution.
- Propose improvements to production processes, technologies, and team workflow organization.
- Ensure compliance with process discipline, occupational health and safety standards, fire safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Higher technical education in an engineering field.
- At least 5 years of experience in metalworking and CNC manufacturing in a role such as Lead Technologist, Process Engineer, CNC Engineer, or a similar position.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of tolerances, fits, datum systems, and machining principles.
- Practical experience in developing machining processes for parts and blanks.
- Experience in creating process sheets and other production documentation.
- Knowledge of quality standards and finished part inspection methods.
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of CNC equipment and control systems, including Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, and Sodick.
- Experience in CNC programming.
- Practical experience in trial setup, production launch, and implementation of machining processes.
- Team organization, production planning, and process coordination skills.
- High level of responsibility, accuracy, attention to detail, and systematic thinking.
- Good level of spoken/written English.
