Backend Engineer

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with PHP 7.4+ and Yii2 framework
• Solid understanding of SOLID, DRY principles, and design patterns
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and MySQL (optimisation and schema design)
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: RDS, ECS, SQS, SNS, SES, Lambda
• Proficiency with Redis for caching and data structures
• Deep understanding of Docker and containerisation
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high-load, scalable backend systems

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-load backend systems.
• Apply SOLID, DRY principles, and design patterns to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Design, optimize database schemas, and fine-tune queries in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Integrate and manage AWS cloud services.
• Conduct code reviews, write automated tests, and ensure high engineering standards.
